The ovaries of a million eleventeen year old girls must be sobbing. “Now who is going to tell me what to like?!”

What a terrible, terrible, terrible show. If not for the fact that it is completely staged. Total Request Live, meaning they only take the requests of the higher-ups, probably rich, old, white, men that decide what is cool, hip and trendy.

The truth is kiddies, the hits become hits because we say they are hits and then you all go out and buy the hits then they really truly become hits. If MTV played a video of me taking a shit onto a compact disk, you best believe that would be top five on the billboard charts.

But the thing about TRL that really pissed me off is that they never even showed full videos, just clips of the videos because they SIMPLY HAD TO BE interrupted by the unfunny banter of whatever 22-year-old VJ that was hosting this shit stain of a show.

VJ: “OMG it’s Hilary Duff. How are you Hilary?”

    Hilary: “Fine.”

VJ: “So you have a new album coming out?”

    Hilary: “Yes.”

VJ: “I hear you like bacon?”

Hilary: “I enjoy it, yes. But I have to stop ’cause my mom says I have to be less than 1% fat. Teehee”

VJ: “Ladies and Gentlemen Hilary Duff.”

    JOURNALISM AT ITS BEST!

The very idea that anyone can watch this show. Seriously Rock of Love 3 has better content, or 2 or whatever the fuck number they are up to.

I knew kids, when I was in Junior High, that actually said this was their favorite show. IT’S NOT A FUCKING SHOW!

It’s the same 30 second clips of music videos that you could easily see anywhere else.

I am not being a music snob, I genuinely believe you should listen to whatever you want, whether everyone likes it or no one does. You should be aware of the difference between a legitimate artist and a mere entertainer though.

TRL was just poorly put together. TERRIBLY put together. I am glad it’s gone, not that anyone watches MTV. I find it hard to believe that anyone watches anything on that channel. Even I’ve given up on Made and True Life.
