I got this comment and I decided to respond to it. Mostly because I miss being on the debate team and because I am sick with mono and have nothing to do right now.

Tina Fay’s [Fey] impression of Gov. Palin was spot on & quite funny. Don’t make the mistake of believing something that’s intended as satire, though, because it’s not the truth.

Satire is actually an exaggerated version of the truth. There is truth in jest. The whole purpose of satire is to make a social criticism. But I will let this go because maybe you weren’t choosing your words carefully.

As far as answering Gibson’s questions, have you compared Obama’s interview to Palin’s? They aren’t quite comparable. Obama’s interview was basically full of biographical questions that any affirmative action dolt could answer without any problem. Gov. Palin’s were much more complex and she still managed to pull it off.

Another Republican making excuses. (not that Democrats don’t do the same) Asking the potential president her stance on the Bush Doctrine, is not a tough question. Does she support it, YES or NO?

But of course she doesn’t know where she stands on it, because she clearly doesn’t know what it is.

She pulled nothing off, and for you to be satisfied with the answers she gave “YOU CAN’T BLINK.” Is quite sad.

Even if Obama is given easier questions, is that HIS fault?

Hard or tough the future president of this country should be able to answer all questions, in pertinence to the status quo of this country’s political climate, on some level.

Or rather they should understand the questions being asked, even if they don’t have a solid answer. Even if the candidate doesn’t have a definite answer, he/she should at least be able to articulate what they DO know.  She knows nothing.

It is one thing to be inexperienced, it is another to be completely unknowledgable.

The President should not be stumped by a reporter on TV. The President should make the most intelligent people shutter with inadequacy.

Like I said, wikipedia some shit.

Really, you’re not seeing any problem with Palin?  She is PERFECT. FLAWLESS. What I love more than anything is when you tell someone they have a problem and they say, “WELL YOU HAVE ONE TOO!”

The fact that people use other people’s actions to excuse their own is quite juvenile and elementary.

Anyway.

Even if Obama is inexperienced, that does not change the fact that Sarah Palin isn’t qualified. Does that make sense? They are two separate people. With two separate sets of strengths and weaknesses. Being fallible is not mutually exclusive to one party.

As a Republican and I assuming this person is a Republican, you should be more pissed off than anyone. You should be saying WTF?! I invested in this party, I believed in this party and this is what I get? A Pit bull with lipstick on. What does that even mean?

But instead you are loyal. Because being loyal to a political party has gotten anyone anywhere? And by anyone I mean the average American, not a lobbyist or CEO or any important higher up, obviously.

I am not saying Sarah Palin is an idiot, VOTE OBAMA. I am saying Sarah Palin is an idiot, period. No matter what party you are in this should scare you.

You should be afraid that this is your country and this is someone who will have a great power and effect on your life. That you should acknowledge it and deal with it in any which way you desire.

But please don’t deny it.
