This whole election thing is a big deal I guess. There are negros, pigs, retarded babies, etc. Who knows how much anyone can make a difference when it comes to things like this, but because I am young and because I heard the very poorly covered story about how there were hippies protesters at the Republican National Convention that were teargassed, I got excited.
Protesters don’t make a difference when they are not taken seriously and to tear gas a nigger and rubber bullet a bitch, you have to take them a little serious…
Well I am not going to go out protesting, not because I wouldn’t, but because to be quite frank, I don’t know who I am voting for. Sarah Palin, DO NOT WANT. But the VP’s job is not very important, so who cares anyway…
But everyone is pretending this is a big deal, so why not pretend too? I ain’t doing nuffin better.
But regardless of whomever I vote for, I really do think it is important to vote. And as much as you can say it doesn’t matter because of the electoral college, while I disagree with having the electoral college now, the fact of the matter is, it does matter. The Bush incident was a rarity and the electoral college almost always votes in correlation to the popular vote.
And if
you live in a swing state then you best be sure your vote DOES MATTER.
And if your vote doesn’t matter it’s because you and everyone else is saying “waaah what’s the point
“. Then none of you vote, but still muster up the audacity to complain about why this country sucks.
I swear to God, almost always, the smartest people I know are the laziest.
Anyway, there was some guy at my school who started some club and said anyone who wants go out and encourage people to vote should join because they are going to Ohio and Pennsylvania (the swing states) to do so. I think that is important. So I go to the meeting.
The club is basically the school’s Democratic Club. Boo. You tricked me asshole! I used to be a Democrat, but now I refuse to affiliate myself with any party, I don’t believe in either one wholeheartedly and to do so often does result in the convolution of what is truly important: Who the best leader is.
Encouraging people to vote is important. Encouraging people to vote one way or the other is bad (to me).
Now, to be objective about this whole thing. There are people out there called “idiots” that can be easily swayed and will be, by one thing or another, so why not exploit them? Why not get there before the other guy does? Someone will, why not me? I don’t know.
At the end of the day I’d rather people be a little informed about both sides of the spectrum. I think it is okay to say, “why bother?” if you are informed. If you are saying “why bother?” with little knowledge of anything then you are just making an ignorant decision the same way, women vote for Hilary because she has a twat and blacks vote for Obama because he has flava.
I guess what I am saying is, unless you are under 18, you have no right to complain about this country if you blindly decide to not vote.* And if you blindly decide to vote then you should be killed.
I swear we should implement Jim Crowe Laws tests, simple tests where we are quizzed on the positions of each candidate before we are allowed to vote. But again the smartest people I know are often the laziest.
*Actually you do according to the first amendment, but go fuck yourself, you whiny little bitch.
Well, this is my little PSA on the election. Basically, if you are stupid, just stop it.
