So I am doing this new thing called Entre Card and it’s basically a network of blogs. If you look on the right sidebar you’ll see a little square that says drop, and how it works is:

That little picture is your business card, you go to other websites and drop it off, this gives you points. The more points you have the more ads you can buy (the picture in the box) on other blogs. The more ads you sell on your blog the more it cost to buy space on your blog. I started yesterday and sold eight ads, each ad runs for 24 hours.

You don’t make any money, but the network is designed to build traffic and it does work. Why is all of this important?

Because bloggers are stupid and if you are reading this because of Entre Card then I am not talking about YOU, I’m talking about the other bloggers, you don’t know them. >_>

Bloggers are some of the most clueless people ever, all they want is a get rich quick scheme to make money off of having a babillion ads on their page.

Anyway, the blogs that cost the most to get ads on are the ones that have the most ads, basically. So people keep buying ads on these blogs because they are popular, even though they cost a bunch of points. I don’t think they realize that just because everyone is buying ads on a site doesn’t mean it will send you traffic. Especially when most of these sites have an alexa ranking of 12 million.

But I shouldn’t be giving away my secrets.

I am in the networking stage of this website, obviously. The only way to expand is to build relationships, so I joined a blogging forum, several actually. UUUUUGH

“How do I get people to visit my blog?”
“Well, I put a link to it on my myspace page. *smileyface*”

“How do I make make money off of my blog?”
“I use google ads, but I only made .56 cents this month *sadface*”

Now we all know I am notorious for begging people to click my ads (so click them), but at the same time, they are not ads, they are AD. There is only one tiny one. And it is there to help maintain the site.

The sole purpose of this website is not to make money, but to write because I am a writer.

The more ads you have on a page will only force readers to go somewhere else that isn’t so ugly and doesn’t load so slow. I can get plenty of “FUNNY PICTURES,” lolcats and stories about how you have the cutest fucking kid, elsewhere!

Not to say that me already being active on the internet and having an association with the Keith and The Girl Podcast doesn’t help, but I mean you’re all still reading, so I must be doing something right.
