The reason I started this blog was because people tell you to write everyday when you want to be a writer. I never did that. Not that I thought it was bad advice, but I was really lazy. But in March of this year I needed to vent because of how annoyed and disappointed I had become with my college experience. I really had nothing else going on, AT ALL.

Well the reason they tell you to write everyday is so you can get your brain used to pumping those creative juices. The more you use that part of your brain, the easier it will be to tap into, like an on and off switch.

I was working on a book of sorts and had stopped for a while, I decided that yesterday I needed to get back on track and HOLY FUCK. I was inspired, mhmmm. It was bizarre, every idea and word just leaked out like spooge onto the paper! I started writing three stories at once, I never do that. I haven’t actually looked at anything I wrote yesterday as I will probably hate it. However I do attribute the ease I’ve had with writing fiction stories, to this blog.

When I started writing this book it was going to be a short story/poetry collection basically because I was lazy. I wanted a finished project by the end of the summer and I didn’t want it to be good hard because I wanted the easy way out. But, I decided that I want some integrity as an artist so I am going to stick to the original thing that I had wanted to do.

I’m sure anyone who does anything creative has an excessive amount of self-doubt even if you know you’re good you can’t help but think critically of yourself. I didn’t start doing what I had originally wanted to do because I wasn’t sure that I could execute the ideas that I wanted properly, so I was kind of putting it off until I was older, well fuck that.

With that said I’ve decided to release all the poetry nonsense I’ve been writing. I hate giving disclaimers, but it’s not supposed to be taken seriously, it’s just fun poems…someone kill me… I almost just used the word “cutesy” the very fact that I have been writing cutesy anything is warrant enough to be kicked in the face on a regular basis when I exit the confines of my home…anyway, enough self defacements.
